The patented CRYOLINE® XF Spiral Freezer can boost efficiency by about 10% compared to standard box-spiral designs.

With spiral freezers, cryogenic gases crust freeze items to lock in shape and quality, and then, if needed, can fully freeze items from the outside in as they travel along the spiral conveyor. Achieving consistent food temperatures across the conveyor belt is key to optimizing food quality at high production rates, and Linde recently received a patent for the high-efficiency design used in the new CRYOLINE® XF (Crossflow) Spiral Freezer.

Spiral freezing is ideal for:

Baking: Par-baked goods, artisan breads, rolls, donuts, cookies (cookie dough), and pastries
Prepared foods: Pizzas and dough products, trayed foods and ready meals
Protein: Poultry products including breasts, tenders, wings and patties; formed meat and poultry patties and meatballs; fish fillets and other seafood products

Immersion spiral freezing is ideal for:

Meat, Poultry and Seafood: Marinated, cooked and raw products requiring a solid freeze, including scallops, shrimp, diced luncheon meats, fillets and fajita strips, chicken and turkey breasts, drumsticks, wings and especially glazed and marinated products.

Linde Spiral Freezing Solutions

Linde spiral freezers are built for high capacity, and the spiral design offers a space-saving alternative to other types of freezing methods. Immersion spiral freezers add a nitrogen bath to the front of the process for foods that need an instant crust freeze or operations that need mega-production rates.

CRYOLINE® XF Crossflow Spiral Freezer
Patented cross flow design produces high-velocity airflow across the width of the belt for a uniform freeze and high-quality output. The high-efficiency design also reduces freezing costs. Compared to box-spirals, the new Crossflow spiral freezer can boost efficiency by about 10% and in a much smaller footprint.

Nitrogen Immersion Spiral
State-of-the-art cryogenic design combines high-efficiency nitrogen utilization with high-volume spiral freezing throughput to 20,000 lbs. /hr. The Linde food team matches immersion-spiral freezers to meet plant and production requirements.

Spiral Freezers – standard box spirals
Linde offers standard box-spiral freezers to quickly put production on a higher path. Typical production rates (lb. /hr.) for the four models are: *750 to 2,000 * 1,500 to 4,000 *1,500 to 5,000 *6,000 to 9,000 (Actual capacity is dependent on production loads.)
